The Coleman Company Building New Bentonville Office
The 21,126 SF building will serve as an office for The Coleman Company Inc. and Pure Fishing Inc., business units of the Jarden Outdoor Solutions segment of the Jarden Corp. The businesses are moving their vendor offices from the Beau Terre Office Park in Bentonville to the new location.
According to Joan Carter, manger of organizational communication for The Coleman Co., the new location will help the businesses better serve Wal-Mart and Sam's Club following the recent integration of Stearns and Shakespear into Coleman and Pure Fishing, respectively.
Subcontractors include Advanced Mechanical of Lowell, Master Electric of Bentonville and Midland Plumbing of Rogers.
New Hangar Built At Roger's Airport
Crossland Construction recently purchased a building permit valued at $2.5 million to build a hanger at the Rogers Municipal Airport.
Crossland Construction is the general contractor for the 28,000-SF hangar at 2 Cass Hough Dr.
The hanger will be capable of accommodating multiple business jets. The facility will also house offices and conference rooms.
Crossland will own the building and Beaver Lake Aviation will operate it.
Baldor Remodels Fort Smith Plant
Wear Construction Management recently purchased a building permit valued at $2.5 million to remodel warehouse space at Baldor Electric Company's headquarters and plant in Fort Smith.
The warehouses are being remodeled to accommodate the company's recently expanded employment. Baldor, which markets, designs and manufacturers electric motors, power transmission products, drives and generators, will add 30 jobs in its distribution operations.
The warehouses are being modified with upgraded electrical service, lighting, new flooring, additional shipping docks and new racks to hold inventory. The expansion is expected to be complete by the second quarter of 2009.
